Watch a fireworks display by the twice British Champions, local firework display and firework manufacturing company Shellscape who also represent the UK at International display competitions in Europe. Come and see some of their latest unique designs including the peacock tail, which looks just as you would imagine, and other fan and oscillating displays. As many of you will know at public displays what look like rockets are in fact shells. These have no sticks and explode in the air. Some new ones produce pictures. One is a smiling face and there are others, see if you spot them. All the fireworks are biodegradable. See them all at Cookham Scouts Firework display. Formosa Meadow, Mill Lane, Cookham on Saturday 6th November. Gates open 5:30pm. Fire lighting Ceremony is at 6:30pm. The bonfire is normally the size of a small house so please be aware of the possibility of sparks. The firework display starts when the bonfire has burned down sufficiently to enable the display to be seen. Hotdogs, mulled wine, and other refreshments, hand held LED and flexible fluorescent lights will be on sale during the evening. Please keep any sparklers or personal fireworks for use at home. Although most people walk to Formosa Meadow, there is a free car park at the end of Mill Lane for anyone who wishes to use it and particularly for those who live too far away or are unable to walk to the event. Tickets available £5 per head from Country Stores, Village Hardware, and Hillcrest Stores in Cookham or pay £6 on the gate. Senior citizens and under five year olds free.
