On Sunday 26th February a team of 6 cubs from the Robert Scott pack went to the District Flag competition at Altwood school. The cubs in the team were:
Harry Woolley
Daniel Mills
Bruno Renucci
Tom Bright
Joshua Rollett
Christian Brown
There were 14 teams there from Cub packs around Maidenhead.
At the competition we had to carry out a number of tasks and tests. These were: kit inspection, first aid, obstacle course, tracking, Kim’s game (a memory test), knots, ball skills, general and scouting knowledge, the Royal family, country code, map reading skills and sound identification.
My favourite was the obstacle course. We each had to sit in a go-kart and go round a course as quickly as we could, trying not to crash! Joshua, Christian and Daniel tipped over when they did their full circle turn.
For the first aid test Daniel and Harry did a worksheet, me and Bruno had to make a sling and Joshua and Christian had to resuscitate a dummy.
The team got points for each task which were added up to get the final score. In the end we came 2nd with 249 points and Pinkneys Green won.
